Pepsi NEBL dishes out season awards

As the regular season comes to a close, the Pepsi NEBL is honored to announce the winners of this year’s regular season awards.

George Williams – San Pedro Tiger Sharks

Top scorer – averaging 21.91 points per game

 

 

Tahj Wells – Dangriga Dream Ballers

Most Rebounds – averaging 14.1 boards/game

 

 

 

Edgar Mitchell – Belmopan Bandits

Most Assists – 6.2 assists/game

 

Elvis Olivera – Orange Walk Running Rebels

Rookie of the Year – averaging 8 points and 5 rebounds per outing

 

 

Richard Smith III – Belmopan Bandits

Defensive Player of the Year – he led the league in block shots (2.75/game), was fifth in  rebounds (9.17/game) and top ten in steals (1.75/game)

 

 

George Williams – San Pedro Tiger Sharks

Most Valuable Player (MVP) – he led the league in scoring (21.91), fifth in assists (3.73), drew the most fouls in a game (5.27), scored the most field goals for

the season (80), was fourth in number of three point shots made (20) and he sank the most free throws (61), while leading his team to the best record in the regular season (9-3).

Coach of the Year – team finished with an 8 – 4 record

 

 

Rico Black – San Pedro Tiger Sharks

Coach of the Year – team finished with an 9 – 3 record

Manager of the Year – key additions were Edgar Mitchell, Gregory Rudon, Richard Smith III, Farron Louriano and Devin Daly
