The Griga Dream Ballers were 3rd in rankings (9-3). However, throughout the offseason they’ve witness the departure of 2 major pieces of team and promising young player in Kevon Louire. Daniel Nolberto averaged 16.1 PPG in the season prior also was top ten in scoring and led the league in three-point percentage (36%). Daniel left alongside his teammate Brandon Flowers who averaged 8.7 PPG and RPG. Both players departed the south and came to our nation’s capital, Belmopan.

Both players were key in Griga’s tremendous season making it the best they’ve had since entering the NEBL in 2015, but unfortunately they came up short in the playoffs losing to the eventual champs, Smart Belize Hurricanes in three games. On the flipside, in the duration of the off-season they managed to snag 2x NEBL Champion, Jamal Kelly, from the San Pedro Tiger Sharks. Kelly was inserted into the Tiger Sharks line-up after an impressive performance in the 2017 playoffs and had a career high season with 9.1 PPG and 3.3 APG.

Will Kelly be able to step his game up and replace to scoring load of both Nolberto and Flowers? And also play alongside a ball dominate guard in Edgar Mitchell? Mitchell led the league in assist with 5.9 and maintained a consist 11.2 per contest. Dream Ballers will be starting the 2019 season approximately 11 players.
