In a highly anticipated matchup between San Pedro Tiger Sharks and the reigning champs, Belize Hurricanes, both teams are coming into tonight’s matchup undefeated. Winner of tonight’s game will remain top of the hill in the NEBL standings.

It was a highly competitive game with both teams not giving up any advantage from the other. As one team scores the other would score again like two heavyweight boxers giving blows to towards each other. However, Belize Hurricanes were able to break free and create some distance between them and San Pedro but unfortunately. Tiger Sharks were able to sink some necessary free throws thus knotted the game up at 16 to end the first quarter. Same goes for in the second quarter, both teams were right on each other’s tail. However at half time, Hurricanes were able to go into the locker room with a small cushion of six points; 43 – 37.  Going into the second half, Hurricanes managed to obtain a fifteen point lead due their suffocating defense, extra scoring possessions and and-1 opportunities. The lead shortly evaporated with a blink of an eye unfortunately, and it was down to a one possession game. As reigning champs Belize Hurricanes knew how to evade themselves from such situations, thus bounced back gave themselves a sixteen point lead to finish the game with a score of 87 – 71.
