The NEBL Regular Season is 2 games away from completion, but the 2 semi-finals match-ups have already been decided. The Pepsi NEBL Playoffs will use a best-of-three format. San Pedro Tiger Sharks will enter the playoffs as the #1 seed with home court advantage throughout the playoffs. In the semi-final round, they will do battle against DigiCell Belize City Defenders, who is the #4 seed. During the regular season, both teams won a game each, with each team winning at home.
In the other semi-final matchup, Griga Dream Ballers will square off against Smart Belize Hurricanes, as the #2 seed and the #3 seed. These two teams also split their regular season games, with both teams winning on the road. However, home court advantage has not been determined as yet, and the game on Monday night will determine who will lock in the #2 seed and home court advantage. If Smart Belize Hurricanes defeats DigiCell Belize City Defenders on Monday night at the Belize City Civic Center, they will be the #2 seed and have the home court advantage in the semi-final round. However, if Smart Belize Hurricanes loses on Monday night, Griga Dream Ballers will remain as the #2 seed going into the playoffs. Smart Belize Hurricanes has the head-to-head tie-breaker over Griga Dream Ballers since they defeated Griga Dream Ballers by 12 points, while only losing by 5 points to Griga.
